The eHealth for Regions Network organizes virtual seminars.
They take place via video conference system in English language. It is a very good opportunity to discuss regional projects or other interesting current topics without great effort and costs. The seminars address health care professionals, politicians and IT-professionals. Participation is free of charge.
A virtual seminar about home monitoring of COPD patients in Denmark took place on 2nd November 2016.
In the project TeleCare Nord telemedicine for patients with COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) was tested. The COPD patients received a so-called TeleKit, which gave patients the opportunity to measure and report data about their condition on their own.

Via Adobe Connect the participants learned about eHealth Literacy and other pre-conditions for a sustainable and effective use of eHealth services. The definition of eHealth Literacy, different measurement tools and interventions to improve the eHealth Literacy were discussed. The participants reported on research activities in their countries and agreed that still eHealth Literacy is too seldom on the radar of most stakeholders in healthcare settings.
